Resume. To have or to have not.

In my experience, applicants often failed to have a resume either included with their employment application or when a person sat down for an interview. Clients have expressed how intimidating it is to create a resume or simply did not think to bring a resume with them to discuss how they will be an important addition to the organization they seek employment with. It is imperative to have a current resume at your fingertips so you are ready for employment opportunities, special assignments, promotion and more.

Resumes are instrumental in telling your story. Potential employers can quickly learn what your experience, skills, education and interests are to better understand where you may fit in the organization compared to other applicants.

I assist clients in creating a comprehensive and complete employment resume that includes relatable and transferable skills in which an employer may consider you over other qualified applicants. For example, one of my clients speaks Spanish fluently. Most communities have a Spanish speaking population that would benefit from a native speaker in their language since the goal is not only to serve that population but increase communication and trust. That one skill may be a deciding factor to offer employment to my client over another applicant.

Consider working with a career coach like me to elevate your employment opportunities and to give you an edge in the hiring process.
